Commercial renovation of a 3,000 sq. ft. car wash into a dynamic, multi-use space featuring a new espresso bar and retail area. The project included a complete interior and exterior overhaul, along with a structural retrofit and significant site improvements.
Our Solutions
The transformation of Lincoln Car Wash redefined what a utilitarian space could be. Originally a dated car wash structure, the 3,000 sq. ft. building underwent a bold $1M renovation to create a modern, multi-use destination that includes an espresso bar and retail area—adding new life, functionality, and street presence to the site.
The original structure’s blank façade and aging materials were replaced with a striking red screen and a clean, contemporary palette, introducing color, transparency, and movement to the exterior. Structural retrofits were carried out to bring the building up to code, while strategic site improvements enhanced circulation, access, and curb appeal.
Maryam Belli led the project from concept through pre-construction, overseeing every phase from schematic design and permitting to consultant coordination and the Santa Monica Architectural Review Board approval. The result is a fresh, community-oriented space that retains its car wash function while inviting new uses and visitors.
